I was responsible for the design and implementation of a suite of mobile and web applications that showcased live geolocated event information that allowed users to find the best live music, restaurant specials and community events near them. The application also included an extensive ads analytics platform to provide insight to our customers about the visibility and performance of their posted events. This project required me to set the overall product direction, coordinate remote contractors as well as work as an individual contributor across technologies including React Native, Kubernetes, Django, Postgres, Elastic Search, Presto, Airflow and AWS.

I was responsible for sourcing, onboarding and managing the engineering team, setting the technical vision for the company and creating any technical components within our product or infrastructure necessary for us to achieve our goals. I joined as the first engineer, grew the initial development team while developing processes for prioritizing our product roadmap. As the team advanced I lead the transition into discipline oriented teams while also still being responsible for the entire technology infrastructure of the business from our flagship product to telephony systems. As we continued to grow I was also tasked with leading the growth team where I set marketing strategy and developed processes for us to measure the effectiveness of our numerous marketing channels as well as developing a conversion rate optimization team that worked with our ad buyers to make sure our channels/messaging/funnels were well aligned.
