Insight is a YC education startup which I co-launched in 2012. We help recent PhD graduates transition from academic research to careers in industry via a six-week program focused on data science. We have a 100% success rate at placing our PhDs ("Fellows") as data scientists at top tier technology companies in the Bay Area (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google, Microsoft, Square). As a founding partner, I, among many responsibilities: • Led start-up operations by creating strategies, processes and systems for Fellow recruitment, scheduling, office and financial management, hiring and training new employees, PR/marketing, business development and community building. I was responsible for the effectiveness, efficiency and optimization of organizational operations. • Planned and executed 3 competitive 6-week programs that train Fellows on leading-edge industry tools and practices. • Coached Fellows on product, leadership, and offered career advice to ensure best learning and placement outcomes.
