Overview

Work Experience

  • Chief Executive Officer

    2023 - Current

RecordLens is building a software platform to help utilities and contractors improve productivity and manage risk on capital projects.

  • Managing Partner

    2012

  • Co-Founder & CTO

    2015 - 2022

  • Post-doctoral Fellow

    2011 - 2013

Created and implemented new programs designed to improve training of our engineering students. Worked at the Freshman- and Senior-class levels to help students learn engineering skills in the context of real projects with actual funds and deliverables on the line.

  • Graduate Research Assistant - PhD Candidate

    2006 - 2010

Wrote numerical simulation software to explore the behavior of multi-dimensional dynamical systems with discontinuity-induced nonlinearities. Designed and implemented physical experiments to verify numerical results. The concept was to use rapid system changes as a sensing mechanism. I then fabricated micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) to test the behaviors at reduced scales. The results of my work were published in the Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics and the Journal of Vibration and Control, among others.

  • Sensor Systems Engineer

    2008 - 2008

Researched, designed, and prototyped a new sensor system for Cylinder Division. Coordinated vendors and production of initial units for testing and validation.

  • Simulation Engineering Intern

    2006 - 2006

Designed, wrote, and tested software for radar simulation applications. Algorithms were prototyped in Matlab.

  • Associate Engineer

    2004 - 2005

Designed and fabricated liquid-cooling system for brushless DC motor control modules. Designed and fabricated automated manufacturing equipment for production of 50kW brushless DC motors.

  • Electric Vehicle Engineering Coop

    2002 - 2004

Designed and oversaw prototyping of high-performance DC electric motors for EV applications, including golf carts, fork trucks, and neighborhood electric vehicles.
