  • CNAS Shawn Brimley Next Generation National Security Leaders Fellowship

    2020 - 2021

    Every year, the Center for a New American Security selects a bipartisan group of 20-25 emerging national security leaders to participate in the Shawn Brimley Next Generation National Security Leaders Program. This year-long, part-time professional development fellowship aims to bring together young professionals across sectors within the national security field to learn best practices and lessons in leadership.

    The mission of the Defense Innovation Board is to provide the Secretary of Defense and other senior leaders across the Department with independent advice and recommendations on innovative means to address key challenges. I led the China portfolio and supported several projects in 5G and AI, including the effort to recommend a set of AI Ethical Principles which was officially adopted by the U.S. Department of Defense.
