    Joined a group of 18 awesome engineers as the first engineering leader and built up and led the entire engineering team (excl. the E-2 engine) to approx. 120 engineers, defined the tech roadmap including our first intermediate space station, Haven-1. Drove a culture of and acted as the responsible engineer (RE) for Haven-1 in its entirety with critical milestone reviews. Helped to hire our first CTO (with a space background!) and transitioned into being the responsible engineer on projects including hands-on leading the Avionics, Power Systems, and RF teams.

We are working on a new way for driverless mobility and based in Berlin, Portland, and open for remote/hybrid for most roles.

    Responsible for all engineering and product functions. Designed and implemented the organizational design. Led the team first through difficult times in a pandemic and then through rapid growth from 19 to 53. Introduced focus to the product portfolio (eliminated two aircraft platforms) and drove execution: Iterated on and delivered new record-breaking aircraft platforms to customers: VOLY C10 Gemini, VOLY M20 and led a new, unannounced product through a reset; resulting in this now being on track to deliver unmatched performance in its class. Consolidated and created a standardized avionics hardware, flight software, and cloud infrastructure underpinning all Volansi platforms across defense and commercial. Established the certification path for the commercial platforms. Coached and mentored amazing team members through their growth and trying times. Implemented a structured patent harvesting process, resulting in new patents being filed on a continuous basis. Helped enable the Series B round of USD 50M.

Volansi is a developer of logistics solutions through autonomous drone deliveries that facilitate long range, time-critical shipments.
