I was co-founder (With Max Levchin, founder Paypal) and Entrepreneur in residence at MRL Ventures, San Francisco. MRL Ventures was San Francisco's most successful incubator, spinning out Yelp.com which went public at a $1 billion valuation and Slide which was acquired by Google. I was responsible for 'local' markets and led the project which became Yelp.

I co-founded Moreover with Nick Denton, (founder Gawker Media), and was head of product. Based in San Francisco and with offices in London and New York. Moreover was the first Internet news aggregator and search engine, providing Yahoo, Microsoft news search. While at Moreover I co-created the RSS standard. Moreover was acquired by Lexis Nexis.
