My role as General Partner @ SOSV is to invest in hard tech start-ups and manage follow-on investments within our portfolio. We invest under three broad themes: Industrial Independence, Planetary and Human Health.

Seppure is an innovative chemical separation company that offers an energy-efficient alternative to fossil fuel-dependent evaporation processes in the industrial sector, which account for almost half of all industrial energy consumption in the US. Seppure's customers range from biofuels and vegetable oils to the semiconductor industry. SOSV invested in Seppure from pre-seed through to Series A

Voltstorage is a leading player in long-duration energy storage (LDES). The company has pioneered solutions in residential and C&I Vanadium Redox Flow batteries and revolutionary Iron Salt storage for grid storage. Voltstorage has shipped more flow batteries to customers than any other flow battery company globally. SOSV has invested in pre-seed through to Series B in Voltstorage.

At IDEO I led transformative projects for Fortune 500 clients ranging from consumer engagement to technology roadmaps and business ventures.

CliQ is a Design and Manufacturing Company, set up to launch innovative new products into market. Aside from running operations, I used my experience of Research, Product Design and Technology to lead new product development under start up brands funded by investment capital. The role was split between China (where manufacturing was based) and the UK.
Research Associate - HVAC systems
2004 - 2006
Initially part of the Helen Hamlyn Research Centre, I led research and development into HVAC systems to improve buildings' energy efficiency while creating a healthier environment for inhabitants. The project centred on applying a hybrid approach to thermal management.
