The Smart Garden series of indoor gardening systems makes growing your own herbs, salad greens and flowers as easy as using a pod coffee maker: you just need to plug in the power adaptor, insert the plant pods, fill the water tank and you're ready to go. Unlike most hydroponic growing systems, Click and Grow Smart Gardens don't require you to periodically add nutrient solution to keep your plants growing and healthy. Click and Grow's unique Smart Soil based plant pods will gradually release all the nutrients your plants need to thrive, while automatically stabilizing pH levels and oxygenating the roots even when wet. The watering system is passive and works via capillary action, which makes for a completely silent indoor grow kit.

Techstars is the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed. I was the MD at Techstars London for four years, and ran the Techstars Connection program, in partnership with AB InBev in New York prior to that.

Part therapist, part mentor, part friend, part devil and part devil's advocate - I'm effectively a live-in mentor at the Barclays Accelerator in London. I'm working with the teams there to help them refine their product, strategy, marketing and proposition. I'm also a sounding board and hopefully a moderately useful guide to some of the stuff they'll go through as they scale their businesses.

AFS's Gastrograph AI platform helps CPG companies create better, more targeted and healthier products for consumers. Flavour has always been the forgotten sense. Until now, companies would use qualitative research to inform product decisions. Now they can see accurate predictions for what any target consumer around the world will taste in their product and how much they’ll like it. AI-powered product development is creating super competitive products that people would never have come up with. I invested in AFS as part of the Techstars Connection program in 2016, and joined the board in 2018.

Lingvist helps you learn languages faster. Much faster. A Techstars alumni company, Lingvist has raised over $8m from the founders of Skype, Rakuten and several others and has grown to a 30+ person team in Tallinn, London and Tokyo. I'm a board director and also advise the founders and the team on all things product, marketing and business development related.
