Gullspång Re:food invests in companies reforming the food system. Our investment themes build upon the work of Stockholm Resilience Centre and EAT-Lancet, and the required shifts they’ve identified to bring the global economy back to a safe operating space. Our portfolio companies are producing more with less, repurposing waste, replacing linearity with circularity, regenerating soil, and enabling access to nutritious food for everyone.

Board member March 2021 - June 2022, rejoined again March 2023. Running the largest soil carbon program in Europe with over 2 million hectares in 18 countries and growing, Agreena is an agricultural climate tech platform company developed to help farms navigate and finance their journey from climate-heavy conventional farming to climate-positive sustainable farming practises - while helping bring transparency and efficiency to the international Agriculture sector. The Company’s platform combines ground-truth data, satellite technology, and AI to promote sustainable farming and carbon reduction. Led the Seed round while serving at the sovereign Danish investment fund and served on the Board from March 2021 until June 2022 when I resigned from Vækstfonden (now EIFO). Re-joined the Board in March 2023 on behalf of Gullspång Re:food following Agreena's EUR46m Series B investment round.

Operating under the consumer brand Motatos, Matsmart is a Stockholm based e-commerce company selling overstock food dry goods and select other products to consumers at great prices. Since they were founded a decade ago, Matsmart has saved more than 60,000 tonnes of products across five European countries, passing a turnover run-rate of EUR 100 million (find them in Denmark at www.motatos.dk). Representing Gullspång Re:food on the Board.

Their vision is to support world-class life science innovation that drives development of new solutions by early life science start-ups for the benefit of people and society. Member of the Advisory Board focusing on agrifood technology bio-industrial startups.

Founded in 2007, Flatfrog is an international company based in Sweden, Asia and the USA that develops and enables remote collaboration solutions based on their touch technology called InGlass (tm). Selected as Rapidus Company of the Year in January 2018 in Sweden. Led the investment for Sunstone Capital in 2007. Represented Sunstone Capital on the Board from the time of investment until December 2014, and then elected as independent Board director.

Every 10 years, one household of four people generates an estimated SEVEN tonnes of packaging waste here in the EU. Cirqle is a Danish start-up that has developed a technology platform to fight single-use packaging and change the way packaging is used - initially targeting the food service industry. Led the investment for Vaekstfonden and Denmark’s Green Future Fund. Left Board when I resigned from Væsktfonden June 2022.

AgroIntelli combines artificial intelligence, machine vision and data into a flexible robotics platform that is built from the ground up to answer the core needs and challenges of many farm owners – while helping them improve their environmental footprint. The company’s lightweight Robotti autonomous tool carrier attaches to and controls implements and equipment already owned and understood by the farmer, who use Robotti for activities such as tillage, seeding, weeding and precision spraying. Reduces soil erosion, promotes biodiversity and carbon-positive farming techniques, while helping farms increase output and efficiency. Led investment for Vækstfonden / Denmark's Green Future Fund. Left Board when I resigned from Væsktfonden June 2022.
