I lead and incubate several projects in the X portfolio by leveraging my deep technology expertise in robotics, nanotechnology, and other emerging technologies and to oversee and advise on resourcing decisions across the portfolio. X is Alphabet’s moonshot factory with a mission of inventing and launching “moonshot” technologies. X projects have the potential to transform the lives of billions of people and drive substantial revenue for Alphabet. I lead a team of 40, and am responsible for the entire P&L for the portfolio. I help scale projects to the next stage of the pipeline, developing strategies to get the next Alphabet companies to launch stage, including development of roadmaps, partnerships, use cases and long-term vision. I actively manage costs and have the decision-making authority to keep or kill a project
General Manager, Robotics project

Advanced to oversee a Robotics project in the Logistics area, taking promising technology and creating a full-fledged product. Led development of a product to control fleets of fully autonomous mobiles robots for use in warehouse settings. Built and oversaw a team of 40 high-performers working on all aspects of the product development, business and engineering efforts.
Operations Manager
2014 - 2019
Tasked to lead the transformation of Google X by streamlining operations, organizational design and collaboration between teams, including multiple team leads and more than 600 employees. Served as Operations lead for Makani, a project to enable more people around the world to have access to clean, affordable power through development of airborne wind power extraction systems. I created the Makani Operations team from scratch and developed the strategy to scale the project outside of the lab to allow long-term operations. Oversaw development of the Makani project’s first “real life” pilot in Hawaii, including construction plans and cross-functional team coordination.

Global Search Lead, Google Shopping for Suppliers

I was brought in to define the go-to-market strategy for Google’s new B2B ecommerce platform and create the yearly business plan for sales activity in the US and China. Drove operations with Product and Engineering teams for customer service, factory verification, strategy and launch, with over 2000 suppliers in the US and China joined the platform in its first year.

In this role, I served as Product Manager for the Ad Product Launch tool at Google, defining strategy and roadmaps for new ad product and developing a global business strategy for Search, Display, Mobile, Social and Video tools.

Brought in to shape the strategy for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) in partnership with business and engineering leaders and cross-functional partners, and to define Google’s mobile product strategy with telecom operators in the region. I opened two new sales offices in Nigeria and Kenya, a significant new market for advertising sales being monetized for the first time.

Promoted to define Google’s strategy in France and to drive revenue and performance metrics with sales executives. I oversaw a team of account managers, industry analysts and account strategists to define and launch client strategy, including customer segmentation and service levels definition. I launched global revenue programs in France to identify additional revenue opportunities, resulting in Google France generating $1XB+ in advertising revenue during my tenure.
