Founded in 2009 with investment from Kleiner Perkins, Reid Hoffman/Greylock and SV Angel, Shopkick aims to transform the way we shop in the offline world by rewarding shoppers along the entire purchase path from the couch to store. We launched the service in 2010 and grew to >20 million users, driving >$1.5B sales for retail and brand partners (e.g. Target, P&G, Macy’s, Disney, Unilever) per year. Shopkick became the most widely used retail app in the United States in 2012 (Nielsen Report) and was named a World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer and one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Retail by Fast Company. Acquired in 2014 by SK Planet for approximately $250 million. - Joined founder Cyriac Roeding on the founding team when shopkick was still incubating in the Kleiner Perkins offices. - Recruited much of shopkick's early technical team and hired a team that inspired me daily. We were responsible for product management, product design, content merchandising, QA and customer service. - Led the product development and launch of shopkick in August 2010, which then was named one of Fast Company's top 10 innovative retail apps (http://bit.ly/RfYxEW) - Led the design and launch of shopkick's Buy & Collect program with Visa and MasterCard, the very first integration with card networks to reward rewards in real-time for purchases at stores such as American Eagle, Crate & Barrel, and Toys"R"Us. - Led the re-imagining, design and launch of shopkick 3.0 in October 2012, a ground up redesign of the vision that aims to inspire shoppers before the visit with beautiful lookbooks and then delight them at the store with shopkick's innovative walk-in rewards, scan rewards and purchase rewards.
