Negotiated and launched 7 new licensing deals for rugs, lighting, carpeting, tile, furniture & fabric and home fragrances. In addition, expanded our existing licensing deals to add new product lines and additional revenue. Increased licensing revenue by more than $1MM annually. Directed and lead efforts to increase sales of the Company from $18MM to $37MM in a 4 year time frame. Increased profitability of the Company 300% over the same period by implementing changes to operating procedures and accounting practices. Revamped the employee benefit package including adding vision insurance, long-term disability, life insurance and flex spending plans. In addition, changed the Company's SEP-IRA to a 401k and Profit Sharing Plan. Improved the management and operations of the Fabric & Furniture department which increased profitability 300%. In addition, introduced new product lines to the division which included leather, lighting and wall coverings which contributed to the increased revenue and profitability. Oversaw and managed the creation, design and launch of the www.michaelsmithinc.com Company website.
