Leading the vision for Narrowband Communications in the Military Space line of business. Program Manager delivering the Mobile User Objective System, a communications system providing secure mobile voice and data by satellite and ground systems for the United States Military. The Mobile User Objective System provides smart-phone-like capability to mobile users and comprises 5 satellites, 4 ground stations, 2 satellite control facilities, and software for ground, satellite control, terminal communications, and network management. Most recent accomplishments in the delivery of this multi-year, cost plus and fixed price contract include launch and hand-over of the third and fourth MUOS satellites, site acceptance test completions at 4 of 4 planned ground radio access facilities, and completion of preps for independent test and evaluation of the system for entry into operations.

Change agent leading the manufacturing team responsible for fabrication and build of solar arrays, mechanisms, complex machining, electronics boards and box fabrication, composites, RF and power systems, friction stir-welding, and propulsion systems in the support of spacecraft and satellites. Responsible for over 1000 people and several hundreds of millions of dollars of product through the production centers, over a wide geographical area.Key strategic facility consolidations and capital investments have paid back in build over build reductions in errors, labor hours, and overhead costs, leading to measurable reductions in cost to programs.

Responsible for the central group for design, build, test, operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical ground support equipment used for test and support of space vehicles.Driving a culture of collaboration, common and reusable design, and shared lessons learned for reductions in errors, increased performance, and lowered costs for ground systems. This start-up functional role required organizational and social acumen as well as strong process skills.
