    Yunus&Youth (Y&Y) is an organisation that was created with the support of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Professor Muhammad Yunus to accelerate the growth of early-stage social enterprise across the world. My primary duty is to run our virtual global accelerator, in which we currently incubate 25 entrepreneurs. In doing so, I am responsible for: - Developing and managing program timelines to ensure completion of the deliverables by the entrepreneurs; - Designing and developing the first Yunus&Youth program curriculum using the lean methodology applied to social impact for the entrepreneurs; - Setting up the first online incubation platform using the Yunus&Youth curriculum in order to track each participant’s progress; - Leading the monitoring and impact evaluation processes of the organisation; - Engaging with our corporate partners to educate them on the Lean Startup Methodology applied to innovation.

    Enza Academy is an edtech start-up that strives to empower youth of color with the tools, resources and mentorship to develop their natural creative potential. Through a unique “3D’s approach”: Discover, Design and Develop, Enza Academy provides a curriculum that blends hands-on computer programming, business development, and social justice awareness. As the COO, I am responsible for: - Spearheading business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy, including identifying and winning early customers (schools/other entities interested in Enza Academy's programming); - Managing multiple business initiatives in a start-up environment; - Generating revenue and manage strategic partnerships development; - Outlining technical value propositions, develop and manage key partnerships; - Being a driving force when it comes to the development of the work ethic, culture and values of the start-up.

    She Leads Africa is a community that helps young African women achieve their professional dreams. With engaging online content and pan-African events, our vision is to become the #1 destination for smart and ambitious young women. As the Communications Fellow, I was the main point of contact between She Leads Africa and media representatives. I was therefore in charge of: - Writing and distributing press releases; - Answering interviews questions and helping in developing a PR strategy to increase coverage. I also worked as a PR officer for the 10 start-ups participating in the SLA Accelerator. In this capacity, I was in charge of: - Developing media contacts and addressing all media enquiries for each of them to increase their public exposure.

  • Frontier Social Enterprise Fellow

    The Archimedes Project is an organisation that helps launching and designing scalable and market-driven water and sanitation social enterprises. In the context of the fellowship, my target country was Cameroon. As a Social Entrepreneur Fellow, I developed a business case to improve service delivery to over 1M people. I my study, I focused on: - Designing a toilet and business model for low-income communities in both rural and urban areas of Cameroon; - Working on setting up a market-entry analysis; - Partnering with local NGOs, government officials, international organisations and private corporations to develop a comprehensive solution. Partners included: the Cameroonian Ministry of Sustainable Development, the Cameroonian Ministry of Health, the World Bank, Dalberg and IDEO; - Interviewing local communities and potential customers to test the scalability of the business and refining the marketing campaign of the social business.

  • Office of Human Resources Management Project Assistant

    During my time at the UN, I was staffed on a project with the Office of HR and Management to work on the Gender in Leadership report launched by SG Ban Ki Moon at the time. In my role, I created a database of female leaders from Africa as part of the Gender in Leadership project to hire more women at senior-level positions Collected data and findings to include in a United Nations recruiting benchmarking report for 2013-2014

  • Public Information Assistant

    2014 - 2014

    Provided logistical support for the organisation of special events (briefings or conferences): assist the public’s requests and coordinate communications with UN speakers Managed social media – update of the website and the Facebook webpage, from live update to original stories and photographs. Coordinated meetings and effective communication between the UN Department of Public Information and client offices and inter-agency partners Launched a professional partnership with the UN and NYU International Relations and Politics Association
