  • Head of Creative

    2017 - 2018

I joined Labstep as Head of Creative on 3rd July 2017 to bring a complete rebranding and redesign to the Labstep platform, as well as ensuring that the marketing materials, pitch deck, website and mobile app were all consistent in design. On first discussion with Jake (CEO of Labstep) it was clear that the platform had good traction and interest but they were looking to take it to the next level with a user experience that set it apart from competing products and services. I was keen to not only smarten the design up but make it something we were proud of as well as adding some humour and fun into the experience of our users.

  • Design & Creative Innovation

    2017 - 2017

In August 2017 I was approached by Hackmasters to work on a short-contract project with them in Dubai alongside the UAE Government, Islamic Bank, CDA and various other organisations in a number of short sprints to generate innovative ideas for the Dubai 10X Initiative to put Dubai 10 years ahead of the rest of the world in terms of technological innovation. I helped lead the creative side of our team, feeding the team with ideas as well as designs and feedback across video, animation and the pitch-deck for the presentation of our proposal. The project encompassed Artificial Intelligence, Blockhain Technologies, Smart Contracts, Crowdfunding, Bots and Location Services to allow people to crowdsource help for social-economic problems around the world to solve issues such as poverty and natural disaster recovery.

  • Designer

    2015 - 2017

During my first year of University I was busy looking a year in advance for a company to work for during my University 1-Year Work Placement. I was lucky enough to have Andrew Clarke - a well known British Designer - tweet about my situation which was picked up by a developer at Incuna and within a few days the plan was sorted for the following year for me to work as part of their team of designers in Oxford on their client projects for the worlds largest pharmaceutical companies, biotech startups and various health services around the world. I learned a huge amount at Incuna and really enjoyed my time there. Additionally, due to my interests in business and startups they helped grow my knowledge in the areas of sales, pitching and funding. I massively improved both my pitching technique and my pitch deck building ability while at Incuna helping us to win numerous clients including the biggest in the company's history. One of the main things I enjoyed about Incuna was the multicultural workplace and the combination of opinions, viewpoints and experiences from people from all around the world, it gave me a real interest in different cultures and led to me taking up learning both Spanish and Portuguese.

  • Assistant University Lecturer

    2016 - 2017

While studying my final year at University I was introduced by one of my lecturers to another lecturer in the Music/Media School who was running a course for second-year students with a module on starting a business. I was asked to lecture on Pitching a Startup, Slide Deck Creation and App Design, as well as evaluate and provide feedback to the students. It was my first real experience teaching but I thoroughly enjoyed it and it helped me develop my public speaking skills and utilise the strong-people skills that I picked up from working in the support industry for the NHS.
