Product Strategy
2015 - 2017
Made something awesome much more awesome. And I got to tinker in the product and engineering room... the best corner in the office.
Member, Board of Directors
2013 - 2015
Sienna Labs: skin microsurgery using nanoparticles and lasers. Got to dust off the old physics textbooks. We're going to change the world of acne, hair removal, scarring, and anything else in the skin we can think of. Our team includes some of the world's best dermatology-biotech-scientists in this field. Invested and joined the board early on -- watched the team do amazing things and participated in the fun. Another testament that a top-notch team can execute quickly and strategically. Raised more capital in Oct 2015 for pivotal study and pre-commercialization. Getting too big for me to add much value, so resigned and we threw a big party :).
CEO
2014 - 2015
Steer the ship as we build the vision and three year plan. Work on recruiting a world-class exec team (including new CEO) to take us to the next level. Worked on rebranded us to Avetta. Resigned as CEO after recruiting John Herr and we threw a big party :).
COO / CFO
2005 - 2014
Recruit and train a fast-growing team as well as work hard to ensure that PICS service stays top-notch. Grew to 200 employees and thousands of customers... we threw a big party to celebrate :).
Intern
2004 - 2005
Wrote a technical white paper about the differences between obtaining pharmaceutical regulatory approval on new researched drugs in US and EU. Only intern in the crop of 40 to be staffed on two consulting projects cause I could "do tons of work quickly." What they didn't know is that I came in early and left late so I could eat all three meals from their well-stocked office kitchen. Internships are sweet! Bring on the free ballgames, dinners, whitewater rafting trips and low expectations for performance... :) Monitor Group is a company that has a special place in my heart... I'm bummed I didn't work there but had to follow my gut and do a startup.
