• Completed one licensing agreement, leading to the creation of a biotech company (Hepla Sciences) with $2 MM of seed capital committed by Fortress Biotech and our collaborators. Formed a scientific advisory board composed of leading KOLs. • Structured a research collaboration between Hepla and a top 10 pharmaceutical company to test our compound with their drug candidate, to identify synergy and create a competitive advantage by demonstrating a rational combination approach with improved efficacy, and a high degree of safety. • Conducted primary research through interviews with key opinion leaders (KOLs), former FDA officials, and industry experts to validate scientific, regulatory and commercial aspects of the investment thesis. • Responsible for project management pre and post deal. This involves the planning and execution of development strategies, including scientific rationale, pre and clinical development, budget, regulatory, and technical strategies. Worked with consultants and contractors for regulatory, IP, commercial, CMC, toxicology, DMPK assessment. • Developed automated search and evaluation software in Python programming language to filter for opportunities of interest. Identified hundreds of new opportunities with several progressing to deal negotiations. • Developed an automated market modeling app in Python programming language, which streamlined market sizing with minimal inputs from the user. Included interactive features to enable scenario modeling (i.e bear/base/blue sky), automated NPV calculation, and storage of models. Enabled ranking of various opportunities based on their market potential. • Built market models (excel), performed competitive research, and created investment decks for our CEO which were presented at quarterly board meetings. • Supervised two analysts who assisted me by conducting scientific literature and market research.
