We founded Ânimo to be a wellness super-app, starting with fitness and meditation content. We raised USD 300K in Venture Capital. We built a world-class team of experts in Product, Technology, Strategy, Finance, Operations, and Marketing. We built a great app with exponential growth in usage but had a tough time monetizing. We pivoted to an offline-to-online model, acquiring over 400 subscribers and reaching R$20K MRR, but the pandemic got in our way at every point. We did a lot of things right and a lot of things wrong. It was an amazing learning experience, and I am now a much better entrepreneur and startup investor as a result of this experience.
