Advisa is an SSE Business Lab fintech startup that revolutionized the Swedish market for consumer loans and got acquired by Nordic Capital in 2021. By creating an auction between different banks and finding the best interest rate available to each customer we lower the cost of the customer's existing debt. Supported founders from the very beginning and became the first employee. Responsible for business development, sales, recruitment, and leadership during hyper-growth to a turnover of 50+ MSEK and 100+ employees in less than two years. Part of the management team for 24 months. Managed a high-performing team of 15 advisors and salespersons through effective recruitment, coaching, and mentoring to maximize sales results. Remium was a Swedish fund broker and market maker that offers a full range of capital market services in corporate finance, equity research, equity sales and asset management with focus on small and mid cap companies. I had the opportunity to do a summer internship at the equity sales desk where I gained invaluable experience of sales and the financial markets. During this period I had the fortune to experience one of the most volatile weeks ever on the stock market, seen only a handful of times, due to the European sovereign debt crisis. A sampling of my responsibilities and accomplishments: ● Contacted hedge fund managers in London and Europe in order to gain information about their current and historical investment strategy as well as their interest for Nordic stocks. ● Researched companies, provided brokers with key ratios of companies and performed various fundamental equity valuations. ● Developed a deep understanding of the equity sales process by connecting clients with buy and sell orders to the appropriate broker. ● Gained a broad insight into financial markets through company and market research.
