    As the first Director if the Innevation Center, I was responsible for for filling the building with energetic young companies. With the help of an excellent staff, we made significant progress during the first three years of operation. Specifically, start up companies in the center raised over $50M in funding. A number of companies graduated and have become part of Reno's growing tech ecosystem. We started the InNEVator, an 8-week funded accelerator, helping to expose Reno to international tech talent, and helping to nurture some excellent companies. We created an undergraduate interdisciplinary course in Design Process and we have become the center for design and entrepreneurial activity in Northern Nevada. http://www.unr.edu/innevation
