Hibu (formerly Yell Group) employs 10,000 people worldwide with sales in excess of $2bn. Hibu acquired Moonfruit in 2012. Worked directly with CDO to create a global digital product strategy for the US, UK, Spain and Latin America based around the Moonfruit website platform. Customised the Moonfruit platform to support Hibu ‘Build it for me’ website proposition, leading to a $150m+ run rate business in the 12 months from launch. Internationalised the Moonfruit platform to support Spain and Latam launches. Rapidly expanded the Moonfruit team to support additional product steams, and built a new central London office for Hibu’s digital staff.

Moonfruit provides DIY website and e-commerce software to small businesses and individuals. Over 7 million sites and stores have been built since launch in 2000, making Moonfruit one largest global website players, and one of the world's first SAAS products. Joe was a co-founder of Moonfruit and responsible for product development, business and technology operations, overall P&L and capital raising. He held the COO position from 2011-2014, was CEO from 2004 - 2011, and was Product Director from 1999-2002. Together with Wendy Tan-White and Eirik Pettersen, they raised $2.4m Series A in 2010 from Stephens (US Investment bank), and Silicon Valley angel 500Startups. Moonfruit was sold to Hibu (formerly Yell Group) in 2012 in a deal worth $37m.
