Responsible for worldwide value added services to OEM's including box build/customization, systems integration, order fulfillment, and logistics. The focus of this position has been on business strategy development and execution for this evolving area of electronics outsourcing. Celestica purchased MSL in March 2004 and leveraged MSL's Fulfillment Solutions business as the cornerstone for growing its own services business. Maintained prior responsibilities plus added several Celestica fulfillment operations. Celestica is a $9B electronics manufacturing company. Fulfillment operations are located in Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Fontana, CA; Denver, CO; Vimercate, Italy; Reynosa, Mexico; Valencia, Spain; and Johor Baharu, Malaysia serving customers such as IBM, HP, Nokia, RIM, Siemens, Radisys, Diebold, Juniper, and Lexmark.

Solectron Charlotte was a $1B/3000 employee operation at its peak in 2001 and was one of three “flagship” North American locations for the company during a hyper growth period in the late 1990’s and 2000. The site supported leading edge technology in support of Cisco, Lucent, IBM, GE Medical, Kodak, Nortel, Compaq, and Sun. Had complete GM responsibilities including P&L and customer management. Key focus areas and accomplishments include dramatic restructuring of the operation during the “tech bust” of 2001. Achieved positive financial results while maintaining high employee morale through open and frequent communications in an extremely challenging environment.

Solectron’s Eastern Region consisted of 5 eastern North America plants and $3B of output of which materials spend constituted approx. 85% of revenues. Accountable for developing and executing supply chains strategies in the functional areas of procurement, logistics, asset management and IT systems. Had similar role for the Charlotte site operation prior to getting promoted to regional job. Solectron Charlotte was created after Solectron’s acquisition of IBM’s Charlotte operations and merged it with an existing local plant.
