    After our fund, Trivella M3 FIP invested in the company we significantly improved it's corporate governance. Our job has been to help the CEO on strategic decisions and positioning, as well as monitoring the performance of the company for investors. Since our investment, the EBITDA margin of the company has increased by 6 times, and debt levels have decreased significantly.

    I took a Board seat in FBITS as a result of our fund Trivella M3 FIP's investment in the company in February 2012. In 2013, with a new capital raise, we decided to bring in other Board members and I stepped down, as the company is now ready for fast growth.

    When our fund Trivella M3 FIP invested in Opto, I stepped up to the Board to reorganize the company. After 1 year, with a new CEO hired, my job was done and another Partner, Mr. Eduardo Rocha, continued my work at Opto, supervising the Fund's investment in the company.

    1997 - 1999

    Icatu Equity Partners, IEP, was one of the large PE funds created in Brazil in the late 90's. Banco Icatu, owned by the Almeida Braga family, decided to create a Private Equity group with Erik Ortel, an American, from Yale, who was running Goldman Sachs PE in Brazil, having invested in Arisco. When Mr. Ortel was building his team, I was hired by him, directly from Yale School of Management because of my balanced mix of Academic and Entrepreneurial experience. At Icatu I originated and then invested in Mabel, which Icatu sold to Pepsico in 2012.
