I ran the product and engineering teams at AllTrails - an AngelPad Batch #1 company. I was the first engineering hire, and launched our co-branded website in partnership with National Geographic in January 2012. I built a team of world-class engineers - the team consisted of 2 published authors of Android books, a homebrew core committer, and ex-Facebook / Google / Microsoft team members. AllTrails was acquired for $75M+ in September 2018, a 20x ROI for early investors. AllSnow, our winter-sports focused app, has been the #1 featured app in both the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores. AllTrails remains one of the ten "Essential Apps for Travel" in the iTunes store, alongside Kayak, Tripadvisor, AirBnB etc. I spent half of my time programming, and the other half on product, growth and recruiting tasks AllTrails is the leading network for summer and winter outdoor enthusiasts, built in partnership with National Geographic. Funded by AngelPad, 500Startups and other top tier investors. http://www.alltrails.com http://www.allsnow.com We built the the number 1 outdoors app on Android and iPhone (search for "hiking"), and also the number 1 snowsports app (AllSnow) Press: ------------------------------------------------------------------- http://alltrails.com/partners/national_geographic http://techcrunch.com/2012/01/17/alltrails-partners-with-national-geographic-launches-redesigned-co-branded-website/ http://techcrunch.com/2012/11/07/alltrails-retail-sales/ http://techcrunch.com/2011/11/13/alltrails-pockets-400k-from-500-startups-and-more/ http://techcrunch.com/2010/11/10/angelpad-demo-day/
