    2010 - 2013

    Directed both clinical and administrative operations at a volunteer-run, free community clinic that provides primary care for acute conditions to uninsured patients at or below the poverty level. Implemented several quality improvement initiatives with the limited resources available to the clinic to offer superior treatment to this underserved population. Managed the recruiting, training, and evaluation of over 35 volunteers.

  • Lead Research Assistant, Department of Physiology and Developmental Biology

    2010 - 2013

    Research the pathogenic signaling mechanism of osteoarthritis (OA) using surgical and knockout mouse models. Performed the OA-inducing surgical procedures, post-surgical microscopy, and data analysis.

  • Head Histology Teaching Assistant

    Taught the practical laboratory for an upper-level undergraduate histology class which covers all major organ systems and tissue types. Created class lesson plans, media presentations, assessments, and a learning resource blog.
