    Serve as communications lead for Google.org, Google’s philanthropic arm, and manage media engagement for Google.org’s President and leadership team. Responsible for developing external and internal communications strategy to position Google.org as a leader in corporate social responsibility throughout the U.S. and globally, in partnership with colleagues in EMEA, APAC and LatAM. Secure positive coverage highlighting Google.org’s grant commitments while amplifying the mission of our grantees, the Google.org Fellowship program and employee giving in major news publications such as FastCompany, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Crain’s, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The TODAY Show and Cheddar.

  • Corporate Communications Manager

    2017 - 2020

    Responsible for creating and pitching media materials to local news outlets in order to secure positive coverage and build brand awareness across the U.S., with a focus on economic impact and investment, community engagement and local employee talent. Led PR strategy for the national launch of Grow with Google in the U.S. with Google’s CEO in October 2017. Developed external communications blueprint for U.S. offices and executed the successful launch and announcement of 10 new and expanded Google sites, including the first U.S. Google Operations Center. Served as a core member of the Global Comms COVID-19 response team and was a main point of contact for Google’s U.S. Site leadership community, Illness Response, Security, Real Estate and Workplace Services and Legal teams. Effectively managed 15 PR agencies, including RFPs and scope of work. Media trained Google spokespeople for media interviews and public speaking engagements. Served as Google Search and YouTube trends expert on radio segments for national and local radio stations.

    Led internal communications for the 7,000-employee Google New York office and owned executive communications for local leadership including Google’s Vice President of Investor Relations and Chief Information Officer. Developed strategy for the Director+ leadership community in order to increase executive engagement. Ensured New York employees were actively engaged in culture programs, maintained visibility with California headquarters and were abreast of day-to-day operational changes by partnering closely with the Real Estate & Workplace Services, PR, HR, Marketing, Legal and Policy teams.

    2013 - 2016

    Led executive and internal communications for the Google Search and Google Maps teams. Served as speechwriter and content creator for internal and external speaking engagements for executive leadership, including strategy offsites for Director+ leadership, global All Hands meetings for Search and Maps teams and external business summits. Effectively communicated team organization and leadership change announcements for the Search and Maps teams in partnership with HR. Published company-wide internal blog posts highlighting product launches, mergers and acquisitions and policy updates for Search and Maps products.

  • BOLD Intern, People Operations

    2012 - 2012

    Piloted two L&D training programs for Product Managers (PM), planning a large scale recruiting event for engineers and creating two video projects (including production, filming and editing), one to be used as a best practices resources for PMs and the other for recruiting purposes used for the official YouTube blog. Responsible for all PR/Communication and marketing (internal and external) for all training programs and events.

  • BOLD Intern, TechHR

    2011 - 2011

    Created team website that provided up to date information regarding on-going projects, team goals/mission and helpful HR resources. Conducted “pulse check” conversations surrounding job satisfaction and career development with 30 SRE engineers, reported data to supporting VP. Developed a questionnaire and script used to interview 100 engineers globally regarding motivation, leadership and promotion opportunities. Prepared promotion/slotting communications for Fall 2011 promotion cycle for Technical Infrastructure. Facilitated a Global TechHR meeting for all TechHR Directors in Technical Infrastructure. Processed over 200 spot bonuses for managers and directors.

  • Global Services Communication Intern

    2010 - 2010

    I completed a 10-week summer internship in the San Ramon, CA office with the West Coast Provisioning Center. Upon completing the internship I was responsible for weekly update reports on department productivity, assignment of daily tasks to employees and a 15-page "Best Practices" report that was distributed among all west coast Provisioning offices.
