Coalition Capital is a new venture capital firm that was recently founded by a group of accomplished European venture capitalists. We represent a spin-out team with deep roots in Inkef Capital, the top-quartile VC arm of APG/ABP (managing a substantial early-stage Tech & Healthcare fund with Euro 550m in committed capital), and former executives from Prosus, a significant global investor with a market cap of c. USD 75bn, which adds a distinctive track record spanning early-stage and growth-stage investments across multiple continents. We have made 4 investments to date (Sikoia, MyEdSpace, Hawk AI and Monite) and will be focusing on companies at the early stage (Seed to Series B) in Europe. Coalition founders have previously backed iconic companies such as GitLab, Remote, PPRO, Similarweb, iFood, PayU, Creditas, Skillsoft, GoodHabitz and Udemy.

Female-founded Enfuce is the leading next-level card issuing and payment processing platform of Europe. In addition it offers open banking and sustainability services to banks, fintechs, mobility-as-a-service providers and merchants. Customers like Pleo, Swile, Rocker, Qred, St1 rely on Enfuce for the management of their credit and debit card programs. Early 2022, Enfuce raised its Series C round led by Vitruvian, with participation from existing investors Tencent and Maki.vc

Inkef is backed by ABP, Europe’s largest pension fund and has backed companies like ChannelEngine, Gitlab, Remote, Silverflow, Urban Sports Club, Robin Radar, Sentinels and Bloomon, among many others. Served as a Partner and IC member. Led 9 investments generating 30% IRR (realized and unrealized). Focus areas included Future of Commerce, Payments & FinTech, Future of Work, TravelTech and Marketplaces.

ChannelEngine went on to raise a USD 50m Series B in February 2022 led by Atomico with participation from General Catalyst.

Silverflow’s cloud-based acquiring processing platform provides a state-of-the-art upgrade for payment-providers. With Silverflow, PSPs can now directly access card networks, instantly add new functionality, have real-time insight into transaction fees and get smart data direct from the networks – all to better serve their merchants. Led the Series Seed investment on behalf of Inkef and doubled down in the recent Series A led by Coatue.

Happeo is the community-powered employee communications platform that Internal Communications, HR and leaders use to align and engage talent. Inkef led the Series A in 2020. Happeo went on to raise a USD 26m Series B round led by Endeit Capital and SmartFin, with participation from Evli Growth Partners.

Urban Sports Club is a dual B2B and B2C business and the European leader in offering a flexible sports flat rate. The aim is to encourage people to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle through the largest and most varied range of sports offers. From fitness, yoga, swimming and climbing to team sports and wellness offers - members can choose from over 50 sports to create their own unique training plan and discover new activities to feel passionate about. Inkef is a key shareholder and, over the years, the company raised more than EUR 150m from HV Capital, RTP Global, Partech, ProSiebenSat1, Global Founders Capital.

Sentinels is reinventing the world of AML compliance. Customers like Mollie, PPRO and Terrapay rely on Sentinels for AML surveillance. Inkef led the Seed round in 2021, alongside ex Adyen execs / high-profile Fintech business angels. Helped the company secure a strategic investment from payments unicorn PPRO as a seed extension. Having grown 4.0x yoy over 2021, the company was bought by RegTech unicorn Fenergo, within 12 months of our investment, realizing a 200% IRR.

Robin Radar Systems is the technology leader in tracking and classification of small objects (e.g. drones and birds) through purpose built radars and software. Inherited the investment and served as Inkef’s designated board member on the company’s Supervisory Board. Oversaw a period in which the company became significantly profitable and provided hands-on support to the CEO in buy-and-build.
