Faced with the 25 million appliances thrown away every year in France, Claire BRETTON, Laura Chavigny and Léa de Fierkowsky decided to react. In 2022, the 3 co-founders (ex-Veepee) created Underdog, in order to offer refurbished household appliances in their factory in Nantes and sold at up to 50% off the new price. This new approach, an alternative to landfill and incineration, enables the company to reduce the carbon footprint of waste management by around 200%

- Creation of a “Security Platform” for Hermès’ Retex.

    Key responsibilities: -Sets development (Inflight business -all major airlines in the region- and Ground Accounts): sets composition, artwork and packaging development, supervision of packaging production and sets assembly/delivery. -Creation of the first Melvita sets for the Asian market and launch of this new brand owned by L’Occitane in Duty Free counters and Airlines over Asia. -Sales Analysis of L’Occitane performances. -Preparation of monthly promotion launch notes for clients. -Participation in the Holiday Promotion: preparation of promotion and counter set up (merchandizing). -Competitive reviews and new initiatives development (offers, animations, services etc.). -Visits at DFS Hong Kong for merchandising set up and report. -Organization of a bi-annual Beauty Advisors Seminar in Macao (150 persons). Key learnings: Very good understanding of the cosmetic industry in travel retail and inflight business, as well as product development and International supply chain processes. Key skills developed: Comprehension of consumer needs (with a focus on Chinese consumers), project ownership, result-oriented mindset, analytical skills, extreme rigor, excellent communication skills for cross-departments coordination, efficiency while working under pressure with tight schedules and high workload.
