Cosmetics: hair and body care segments. Developed and implemented European business segment marketing strategy for hair-care; coordinated strategic marketing activities, incl. market and competitor intelligence as leader of a global virtual team; identified unmet needs and trends along the hair-care value chain and aligned R&D project portfolio accordingly; prepared business plans for R&D projects; repositioned a recently launched product, leading to additional sales development in the hair-care segment; developed and monitored customer interaction models, planed and executed segment communication concepts; developed claim substantiation concepts in collaboration with the technical team; responsible for global product launches.

Global Product Development

As a product development manager for process chemicals in the paper industry, I managed several multi-disciplinary R&D project teams which led to the development, scale-up, and commercial launch of three new products. Additionally to the main R&D activities, I was responsible for quality management, customer and sales and support for three product lines. This included working with sales and marketing team by holding commercial and technical presentations at customers, training events, and international conferences in French, English, and German, as well as establishing and managing commercially important relationships with major suppliers.
Research Manager

As a research manager in the area of water-soluble polymers, I led a talented and experienced team that developed an innovative, cost-effective and ecologically sound formulation technology, which is currently being exploited in the areas of cosmetics, construction, and papermaking additives. We successfully up-scaled new products from the laboratory to large-scale production. We also established collaborations with universities to investigate the use of biotechnological methods in polymer synthesis.
