Responsibilities included P&L management, strategy, technology and product development, marketing, and system solution development for Analog Devices’ $1B Industrial Automation, Energy, and Sensing division. Oversaw three market-focused business units and five technology groups, including ADI’s China technology and market development groups. Also responsible for the Industrial IoT and Emerging Sensor strategies for ADI. • Established the Industrial Sensing Business Unit with Smart City, Smart Infrastructure, Smart Agriculture, and Smart Building sub-strategies. • Launched a new Industrial IoT business aimed at SW and Services for condition-based monitoring of machines configured with ADI HW with embedded AI and analytics. • Created an Emerging Sensors Market and Technology strategy group to engage the eco-system of start-ups, partners, major customers, and universities to shape a new sensor strategy for the company. Responsibilities included P&L management, strategy, technology and product development, marketing, and applications development for Analog Devices’ $250M MEMs / Sensor division with high-performance accelerometer, gyro, and inertial navigation modules for the automotive, industrial, healthcare, and selective consumer markets. • Successfully executed a significant turnaround of a historically underperforming organization into the fastest growing ADI business unit at the time. Delivered a +$50M profit improvement. • Successfully sold the Microphone business for $100M. Redirected the R&D spend to play to win in ADI’s core markets of automotive, industrial, and healthcare. • Built a strong industry reputation as a board member of the MEMS Industry Group and as an invited speaker, moderator, and panelist regarding the sensor market.

Responsibilities included P&L management, strategy, technology and product development, marketing, and applications development for Analog Devices $400M Wireless chipset business for the mobile phone industry. The group delivered and supported complex wireless system solutions, including full hardware designs, IC chipsets combined with modem, and application software to enable feature-rich mobile phones for customers. • Achieved 100%/year growth for three consecutive years from 2002-2004 with annual revenues above $400M. • Established Asia Wireless Applications Center in Shanghai, China in 2001 for mobile phone HW and SW development and technical support. Built the team from one to over 40 engineers that developed and delivered full form factor mobile phone reference designs to customers. • Led a $25M acquisition of a UK SW division in 2006 and the successful integration of people and technology into our Wireless development organization.

Built and led a high-performance regional marketing and applications team intensely focused on achieving dramatic growth in the highest potential, locally driven Asia markets—PC monitors, notebooks and desktops, digital cameras, wireless infrastructure, and mobile phones. • Defined a regional business marketing leadership role based in Hong Kong that would address poor organizational effectiveness and disappointing business results in the early days of Asia’s high-tech emergence. • Grew ADI’s locally driven Asia business in China, Taiwan, Korea, and Singapore at 90% CAGR from $50M to >$180M in three years.
