Tried saving the world by creating renewable fuels that reduce our dependence on petroleum. Initially invested in the company, then joined as CEO as it became clear the company really was going to transform the economics of biodiesel and oil was going to go crazy. Raised over $250M in financing including $112M in project financing and working capital. Built a 5 M gallon proof of concept refinery, then a 100M production scale. Built pipeline of three more projects (China, Argentina, Hawaii), but financial markets closed in 2008. Company currently profitable and growing.
