Upside is a pre-seed startup building a referral management platform for independent consultants and small agencies. As employee #1, I researched, designed, and built a low-code beta product, then hired our lead engineer and quarterbacked development and launch of our 1.0 product, scaling from 0 to 3,000 users in five months.

On Deck scaled to 300 employees globally, generated $20m in revenue, and raised $70m from Founders Fund and other top investors. Over 1,000 startups have been founded and launched at On Deck, collectively raising more than $2b. Our $100m accelerator and venture fund, ODX, invested in over 230 companies worldwide. I led product efforts for ODX, where I developed and launched multiple products for our 10,000+ person founder community including investor reviews, our community feedback tool, and the platform that powered our virtual Demo Day. I also served as an advisor and coach to our founders on product development, fundraising, and company culture.

I created and ran On Deck Writers, a new business unit focused on accelerating independent writers. I grew the business to $1mm revenue in six months before On Deck pivoted from media. Durign that time, I worked with 400 participants on writing fundamentals and growth strategies, achieving an average NPS of 75.

Latch is a manufacturer of enterprise smart locks and building management software. I was recruited by the founder at Series B to lead delivery of a greenfield product for building management and transitioned to lead development of our mobile apps after a pivot. I drove efforts to improve our iOS apps that resulted in our average App Store rating growing from 2.5 → 4, and oversaw the design and release of features including advanced package management, virtual apartment staging in AR, and access sharing to enable integration with third-party delivery services and apps.
Co-Founder & CEO

Castle was building the future of single-family real estate investing by creating a scalable, user-friendly property management service. Our mission was to make renting out a property as easy as buying a stock, and renting a property as easy as booking a hotel room. I cofounder the company and led product, design, and marketing. Castle grew to $1mm ARR and raised $4mm from investors including Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures, and SV Angel. I conceived, designed, and shipped our web platform used by thousands of landlords, tenants, and contractors, and built and managed 20-person team of marketers, engineers, and operations staff across two cities.
Co-Founder

Rebirth Realty transformed an abandoned house in Detroit into a communal living and working space for Venture for America Fellows. The project grew from a crowdfunding campaign into a $300k real estate development project backed by private investors, and was featured in Fast Company, Recode, and Time.

Are You a Human built interactive ads that took the place of online annoyances like CAPTCHA and pre-roll video. I was employee #9 and handled marketing, design, and product, with some front-end development thrown in to boot. The company was acquired by Distil Networks in 2017.

I was selected as part of the inaugural class of Venture for America, a fellowship program that places recent grads at startups in emerging cities around the country.
