  • Co-founder

    2010 - 2010

A friend and I played a round of golf every day for a calendar year, around the world, raising money for The First Tee as we went. (The First Tee teaches underprivileged children the life skills & values that golf teaches the rest of us). An intense yet somehow eminently manageable exercise in planning & logistics. Between organising each and every game of golf and accommodation for 365 days; procuring transport, insurance, phone coverage, internet, media coverage, sponsorship, fundraising support, golf balls, band-aids and just about everything else you could imagine, in 16 countries (all the while, on the run); actually hacking our way around a different course each day; swapping life experiences day in, day out, with a remarkable array of kindred spirits; blogging and writing for golf magazines about the same - it was quite a year. All said and done we played a new course every day without fail, traversing date lines and catching overnight flights. And raised $35k and our blood pressure in the process.
