    Built out the growth org from ground up, which spanned several pillars: (1) Paid Social (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube) (2) Paid Search (SEM) (3) Display / Native (4) Offline (TV, Radio, Podcast, Direct Mail) (5) Partnerships & Affiliate (6) Mobile app growth (7) SEO Joined as first growth hire and scaled the org to ~20. Worked in close partnership with the algorithms, creative, and engineering teams to build a cross-functional muscle around growth/acquisition. Managed functions above and associated marketing budget through IPO.

    (Acquired by Airbnb) Built the Growth, Marketing, Analytics, and Community functions at Tilt, where I oversaw several teams: (1) Community Development (our pattern of growth was community-by-community. this team owned our playbook to seed growth in new communities, starting with an ambassador program that reached 2,500+ ambassadors in 7 countries.) (2) Marketing (every tilt is a story. this harnessed those stories to drive Tilt adoption + reengagement within target communities, using lifecycle notifs/emails, paid channels, partnerships, content/video, and SEO.) (3) Analytics (helps the entire org make smarter decisions and decreases the cost of answering questions. whether helping PMs with instrumentation/tracking, making data more accessible + actionable, or owning our experiment framework, this critical function upleveled all teams at Tilt.) (4) Growth Engineering (one role of the growth team is to accelerate the pace of learning across the org. this team ran on-product experiments to drive acquisition + activation. examples: referral program, mobile web > app conversion.) Started as first "growth" hire in 2013 and built the team to ~20 folks.
