    Kenota Health is an innovative medical technology company that is reinventing the way we test for allergies. The Kenota System yields rapid, accurate results when and where they're needed, allowing doctors to make faster, more precise diagnoses. As CEO, I raised US$21M and assembled a world-class management team with expertise in product development, finance, marketing as well as regulatory and clinical affairs.

  • Velocity Science Coach

    2015 - 2015

    Starting a company can be a scary task, and this is especially true when it's a science company. As the Velocity Science Coach, I mentor early-stage science startups and aspiring entrepreneurs, and help them through the initial stages of their venture. This includes organizing workshops featuring founders of MedTech companies, running a series of workshops on finding a problem that's worth solving, and conducting one-on-one meetings with early-stage entrepreneurs to discuss their progress.

  • Residence Life Don

    2014 - 2015

    A Residence Life Don is responsible for fostering a safe community in residence and encouraging positive development. The position involves planning monthly and bi-weekly events to get first-year students interacting and allow them to explore university life in a safe manner. Each Don is responsible for 55 students, and can act as a resource for students when they need help. The training prepares the Dons to deal with a wide variety of sensitive situations, allowing them to direct students to the appropriate resources available on campus.

  • Laboratory Analyst

    2013 - 2013

    • Worked with UMR 106 cells to test a new PTH treatment for controlling low blood calcium (hypocalcemia) in people with low parathyroid hormone blood levels (hypoparathyroidism) • Work resulted in the commercialization of NATPARA

  • Food Technologist

    2012 - 2012

    • Completed an NSERC project achieving gluten-free breaded chicken that is made with natural ingredients • Assisted Product Developers in R&D work and the development of new recipes • Conducted pilot plant trials along with the Product Developers prior to the launch of a new food product • Demonstrated the ability to work individually and with teams, as well as completing any assigned projects

  • Laboratory Assistant

    2012 - 2012

    • Managed the project of filing and shipping the WAT herbarium, which included 70,000 plant specimens • Worked under the supervision of Dr. John C. Semple, the world’s leading plant taxonomist in Goldenrods • Acquired time management skills, planning skills, and project management skills
