Mukul is responsible for raising second round of funding (Series A) for Intelligent Power Generation. He has responsibility of devising the Investment Strategy for the business and prepare them for the next round of funding. Intelligent Power Generation builds new clean technology from state of the art turbines for power generation to regenerators for maritime and road transport. Intelligent Power Generation is a Clean Tech Business that has developed a state of the art turbine platform that it uses in many applications. Two key applications are Static Power Generation and Freight Transport Range Extender. The Static Power Generation is a 300KW turbine that is currently under development with a prototype testing in January 2018. The Freight Transport Range Extender is a 100KW and 65WK near nil nox, multi fuel range extender for electric trucks and buses ranging from 3.5t to 44t.

The Clean Gas Company (“CGC”) is a cleantech and project development company that has its own innovative patented modular thermolysis technology (combined pyrolysis and gasification). Mukul is responsible for developing, wrapping and raising finance for CGC Projects. His aim is to deliver to funds a project wrap with an end to end delivery from development to build to operate and transfer. In addition, Mukul is also responsible for raising project finance for projects in the US for CGC's US Joint venture Carbon Recovery Systems.

Mukul Mohanty pursued the acquisition of Astoria’s Fund Management Company (Astoria Organic Matters GmbH & Co Kg) its two portfolio businesses Astoria Organic Matters UK Limited and Astoria Organics Canada Limited. Mukul bid for the acquisition of the Astoria Organic Matters GmbH & Co Kg in Germany backed by a Private Equity Fund. The bid was matched by and awarded to an existing shareholder and creditor of the fund. Mukul, in partnership with UK’s leading independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager, bid to acquire Astoria Organic Matters Canada LLP from Business Development Bank of Canada, who had called in BDO to find a buyer for an 80,000 in vessel composting plant with a 50,000 permitted transfer station. The final buyer was an existing renewables SusGlobal Energy for USD6m.

Headed Astoria UK, a part of Astoria Private Equity (Astoria Invest AG) 4th global office. Responsible for day-to-day Astoria’s UK operations, developing the Astoria Brand in the UK, liaising with trade and industry bodies. Oversee the planned investment of more than £30m in the UK over the next 3 to 5 years across 2-3 specific investments. Focused on developing renewables project including Energy from Waste, Biogas/AD, in-vessel composting, landfill, MRFs and Waste Collection businesses. Identified and originated investments opportunities for Astoria Private Equity within the organic renewables sector. Devised UK investment strategy including type, structure and form of the flagship investment. Sourced greenfield/brownfield projects and joint ventures with existing operators in the UK. Principal responsibility of all aspects of transaction including managing commercial, financial, environmental and legal due diligence processes.
