Created Due Diligence Workshop to provide due diligence education to investors and founders via lectures, guest speakers, and exercises meant to identify and brainstorm solutions to common risks that appear during due diligence. Lead the Term Sheet Committee to review financing documents and interpret term sheets, develop template term sheets, advise companies and investors on financing terms and best practices, and facilitate negotiation of deal terms. Assist in due diligence by collaborating with startups and investors to research competitors and exit comparables, validate and stress test financial model and exit assumptions, interview founders, assess gaps within a company’s management team and other company needs, review USPTO filings, etc.

I was responsible for conducting due diligence and reporting on company pitches and investment opportunities sourced from monthly meetings in Southern California with Pasadena Angels; Seattle with Alliance of Angels and E8 Angels; and Portland with Oregon Venture Fund and Keiretsu Forum NW.
