Silicon Laboratories is a US semiconductor company that acquired Chipsensors in October 2010. • Reporting to Product Line Director. • Led transfer of Chipsensors' IP to Silicon Laboratories after acquisition. • Commissioned new electronics laboratory. • Worked with global team on new product development. • Assisted in definition of new product platform.

Chipsensors was a venture capital backed start-up developing semiconductor environmental sensing products. • Reported directly to CEO • Project manager for product development with up to 8 engineers. Projects finished on time and within specification. • Participated in due diligence meetings with investors and customers leading to new funding rounds and eventually acquisition. • Responsibility for recruitment and supervision of external contractors. • Demonstrated prototype products to customers and developed product definitions. • Mentored junior staff on technical issues. • Assisted in planning and attended trade shows to promote company products. • Liaised with suppliers to ensure availability of CAD tools and other supplies.

Mixed signal designer reporting to VP of Engineering. • Successfully delivered 'first time right' silicon on numerous occasions enabling company to achieve positive cash flows. • Participated in projects as both a team member and project lead. • Responsible for design from concept to final production • Report writing and presentation of peer design reviews. • Market research and competitor analysis.

Graduate design engineer on the graduate program developing broadband communication chips for fibre optic systems. • Progressed through graduate training program and asumed more technical responsibility. • Technical documentation and presentation of new designs and systems • Project lead, system architect and lead designer for new platform chip involving ten engineers. • Responsibilities included scheduling and costing of the project, market research and product justification as well as smooth day to day running of the project.
