The/Nudge is a nonprofit development action institute working towards a poverty-free India within our lifetime. It brings together socially conscious institutions and individuals to prototype, propagate and proliferate evidence-based livelihood solutions at population scale. The focus is on building resilient livelihoods for both urban and rural poor, and towards this, The Nudge with governments, markets and civil society to remove barriers and enable scaling of evidence-based effective solutions. India should aspire to, and can become poverty-free by 2047, when we celebrate 100 yrs of our Independence. To play a catalyst role in this 25-year journey, 70+ of India's leading entrepreneurs, leaders, investors, corporations, nonprofit leaders and economists have founded a very ambitious project - The/Nudge Institute The Nudge started as a foundation 8 years back, are a bangalore-based 350-people strong organisation and have already served over 15 million people through our various Centres (Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship | Centre for Rural Development | Centre for Social Innovation) and programs - skilling underprivileged youth, extreme poverty alleviation through Graduation approach, income increase for rural poor women through goatery & backyard poultry models, improving lives of urban waste-picker communities, nonprofit incubator, accelerator, grand challenges, convening platform, Indian Administrative Fellowship and more. With initial support from Nandan Nilekani and Tata Trusts, the work has been supported now by over 40+ corporates, 15+ foundations and 70+ HNIs, including Vinod Khosla, Mackenzie Scott, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Rockefeller, Skoll, DRK, LGTVP, Mulago Foundation, Meta, KPMG, Cisco, HSBC, HDFC among others.
