POPxo is a 80M-strong digital community for women. When we started the company, there were no platforms at scale creating content for women in India. POPxo became that platform. Over the years, we raised $10M from marquee investors in India, China, Japan and South Korea. • POPxo grew organically: from just 1M monthly visitors in 2014 to 50M monthly visitors across platforms in 2020. To put this number in context - 3 out of 5 women online in India engage with POPxo on a monthly basis. • In 2018, We launched an in-house line of beauty and lifestyle products sold via our new e-commerce arm, making us a first-mover among content platforms.
Founder
2017 - 2024
When brands started asking for ad-hoc influencer integration in digital media campaigns - we took a bet that influencer marketing was going to take off in India. • In 2017, we launched Plixxo, India’s largest influencer marketing platform, powered by POPxo. • The network grew organically from 5K digital content creators in 2017 to 150k in 2020. We did this by leveraging the POPxo network. • We have run brand campaigns with participations of thousands of influencers. • Empowering influencers and helping them succeed is the main driver behind Plixxo.
Chief Executive Officer
2022 - 2024
The Good Media Co is one of India's largest digital media companies comprising POPxo, ScoopWhoop, MissMalini and BabyChakra. It has 200 million MAUs that drive 4 billion impressions every month.
Co-founder & President
2020 - 2024
MyGlamm and POPxo-Plixxo merged in 2020. MyGlamm is a direct-to-consumer beauty company selling makeup, skincare and personal care products via a multi-brand strategy, backed by Bessemer Venture Partners and L’Occitaine en Provence. This merger has been really successful. • We successfully delivered the content-to-commerce promise of the merger by introducing the POPxo audience to the MyGlamm product line. • We reduced the customer acquisition cost for MyGlamm while maintaining a high average order value. MyGlamm’s online revenue has grown exponentially. • I spearheaded the launch of MyGlammXO - the joint MyGlamm & POPxo loyalty program which led to a significant increase in MyGlamm brand visibility and sales. • Over the past year, I worked with my co-Founder, Darpan Sanghvi to set the right pace and organisational tone while merging a 400-person workforce into a unified team.
