Boutique software company that developed and licensed C++ and Java technology and components. The Indius Java Components were among the earliest in the industry, featured on Netscape's website and adopted by hot startups like Ariba.

Built the team and led the development of one of the first client server systems (Windows 3 front-end, Oracle mainframe back-end) for HR administration. This was pre Peoplesoft. Fortune 500 clients for the system. Watson Wyatt company has now become Towers Watson, and is one of the pre-eminent global professional services firm in the areas of people, risk and financial management.
Software Architect
1983 - 1989
Led the development of the company's first IC layout system. Later on, took over the company's common user interface platform, which was a custom windowing system (multiple windows, keyboard and mouse support, drag and drop, bit-blt scrolling, etc.) for Apollo workstations. Part of the team at Mentor Graphics that worked closely with Bjarne Stroustrup on the development and evolution of C++ (we were among the first users of the language).
