VP Network
2010 - 2014
An early employee in the role of network principal, forging the underlying infrastructure for the Gaikai Cloud. As the company grew from 20 to 200 people over the span of four years, I transitioned to a hands-on executive role. My organization was responsible for Gaikai's agile and scalable cloud network infrastructure, supporting the gaming cloud. The org managed the complete life cycle of the network; from conceptualization, to design architecture, procurement, implementation, management automation, process and organizational development. We built several generations of the Gaikai cloud, from the very scrappy to the very scalable.

Multi-phase role; initially involving the integration, remediation and upgrading of the Network for the Overture acquisition. This phase included the redesign of the OSPF based backbone network. Additionally, this phase also included the upgrading of the Backbone from DS3 to larger bandwidth links and additional interconnect density. The turn up of new computing clusters, the replacement of legacy load balancers and redesign of the GSLB mesh. Beyond the Overture acquisition, my role became a more generalized Network Engineering role supporting all Yahoo! properties.
