    2015 - 2022

    Venture capital firm, headquartered in Luxembourg, with over $100m in AUM in 3 funds (from Series Seed to Series F). We invented and applied an impact investment framework based on the 17 UN SDGs, and on the 'Exponential Organizations' book. I was involved with fund strategy, CSSF regulatory approval, LP fundraising (50+), LP reporting, marketing, in-house technology tools, HR. My work included deal sourcing (in charge of Spain, Portugal, the UK, Ireland, and the USA: I was based 50% of my time in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley for 3 years), due diligence, deal negotiation, board representation, and sale support with our portfolio companies. Member of the investment committee. We processed over 12,000 investment opportunities in 6 years. I sold my stake in the ManCo in January 2023, staying on as an LP in the funds I helped manage, after 1 year of transition as a Venture Partner supporting 3 companies in Paris.

    2005 - 2010

    vpod.tv was a multimedia platform enabling corporations to create their own convergent InternetTV channels. Customers included global brands such as L’Oréal, Danone, BNP Paribas, French Government, Fanta, Leroy-Merlin, GDF-SUEZ; media groups; telcos such as SFR, Ono and large e-commerce sites. vpod.tv received numerous Innovation awards in Europe and the USA. In 2006, vpod.tv raised a $5.1m series A from Innovacom, the investment arm affiliated with Orange. Advisory board members included serial entrepreneurs Xavier Niel (France) and Martin Varsavsky (Spain/Argentina). I was in charge of product development, marketing, sales, HR, finance and investor relations. I sold my stake in the company in January 2010, after it became profitable in just over 3 years. Offices in Paris and Madrid, 27 people.

    RISC Partners was a seed-stage holding company, specializing in high-growth companies in the tech and media sectors. I sold my stake in the company in March 2010.

  • Interim CEO, Board Member

    2003 - 2005

    Glowria was the #1 on-line DVD rental service in France and #2 service in Germany. It also offered a VoD service, mainly as a white-label service to ISPs (Neuf, Darty), retailers (FNAC, Carrefour) media companies (France Loisirs), etc. Glowria pioneered a unique revenue-sharing business model with all major studios (Warner, Universal, Fox Pathé Europa, etc.) and partners (Carrefour, AOL, FranceLoisirs, etc.). My job was to streamline operations (catalog acquisition, sales and marketing, IT, logistics, customer care, site development, cost accounting) and prepare for the next round of financing. We completed a third round of financing of 4m€ (June 2005) to bring the company to profitability and launch our video-on-demand service, bringing the total financing to ~16m€. At the same time, I was responsible for all our distribution channels (major portals, ISPs...) and marketing mix and signed 5 major deals. Offices in Paris, France, and Munich, Germany; 85 people. The company was acquired by Netgem, a public company, in December 2007.

    Head of mobile strategy & business development for AOL Europe in France, UK & Germany (independant consultant). - Designed pan-European strategy, 100% approved by the board. - Negotiation with carriers for distribution of AIM (46m users back then) - Sourcing & negotiation with key content suppliers to build a comprehensive offering - Guidance to and mobilization of country mobile teams to align them with new strategy. Coordinated mobile teams in Paris, France; Hamburg, Germany; London, UK.

    Joined the team as a Principal in the Strategy team. Co-founder of the 'B2B Marketplace Europe' team, targeting large industrial consortia. Our job was to build businesses from scratch, from strategy to financing, marketing and technology. Left to attend B-school.

    Strategy & ICE (Information, Communication & Entertainment) practices. Founder of the e-business practice (20 consultants), specializing in Internet strategy, mainly in the retail and media sectors. Some of the main projects I was involved with included : - pan-European launch of web presence of #1 European non-strategic mail-order company (18 countries) : Manutan.com and subsidiaries - global launch of web presence and Intranet tools at the creation of OMD (Omnicom Group) - redesigning pan-European IT systems for Havas Media Communication outdoor billboards business - global security audits of industrial groups (L'Oréal, Rhone Poulenc) and several banks (Groupe Banques Populaires) - building call-centers from scratch for ASSEDIC

    Joined Novell as a network engineer and qualified professional (CNE-3, CNE-4 - I studied and passed the certifications on my own before joining Novell) on the pre-sales team right after engineering school. Worked on large scale pan-european migration proposals, network usage audits, workflow pilots, etc. Seconded to Novell Europe by MGI, a French partner company, as a pre-sales consultant during my final year internship.
