    Newtopia is a venture capital firm that invests up to 2M USD per startup, starting with 1st checks of up to 500k in pre-seed and seed-stages, with the possibility of investing up to 1.5M USD of follow-on in the Series A of the top performers of the portfolio. We are agnostics in terms of sectors, and we are looking for latin american entrepreneurs targeting regional or global markets. Those founders who are shaping reality with innovative solutions to huge problems, breaking the status quo by shifting paradigms, and creating new industries (or revolutionizing the existing ones) by founding today the admired companies of the future. We are a fund created (and supported) by entrepreneurs, seeking to help the next generation of great founders. Our investors include prominent unicorn founders such as Marcos Galperín (Mercadolibre), Martín Migoya (Globant), Matías Woloski (Auth0), Agustín Soler (Mural), Mike Santos (Technisys), Poncho de los Ríos (Nowports), Maxi Casal (Nowports) and Mariano Suárez Batán (Mural), along with other renowned entrepreneurs and former elite athletes like Manu Ginóbili, Mariano Zabaleta, Pico Mónaco, Julián Montoya, among other basketball, rugby, tennis and fútbol players.

    Online platform that allowed users to buy-sell-exchange their frequent flyer miles and loyalty points with other members that are in need of extra miles in their balance to make a trip or redeem a prize.

    Multiple Locations: Nova Scotia, Canada; Santiago, Chile; Bs. As., Argentina; Philadelphia, U.S. Loyalty digital-wallet that allowed users to manage all their loyalty programs in one single place and redeem the miles/points in exchange for “useful stuff” at affordable rates (netflix or spotify subscription, amazon check out, ride at uber, coffee at starbucks, among others). Got selected by several entrepreneurial programs: Warthon VIP program in PHL and SFO, Seed from Minas Gerais Brazil, Capital Semilla in Argentina and Startup Chile in Santiago de Chile.

    Modern fast fashion brand at affordable prices. Successful implementation and scale. Got the investment back and paid leveraged debt in less than 6 months after opening. Sold the business after 18 months of operations.

    2011 - Head of Strategy and Commercial Analysis for the International and Domestic market of LAN Ecuador; Location: Guayaquil, Ecuador. Coordinate sales and marketing actions to make profitable the routes from Quito and Guayaquil to South America, USA and Europe. Coordinate interaction between teams of the Comercial Department. Increase income of the direct sales channels (web, call center, ticketing offices). Make the incentive plan for the travel agencies, and carry out the negotiation. Design and deploy best practices from headquarters in a home market. 2010 - Senior Analyst of International Revenue Management for the International market of LAN Argentina; Location: Santiago de Chile. Maximize income and profits of routes from Argentina to South America, Asia, Caribean, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Europe. Train and give coaching to junior analysts. Define comercial strategies, tactic actions, sales and promotions, with the respective campaign launch. Make studies to test viability of new routes. 2009 - Analyst of International Revenue Management for the Asian, Australian, New Zealand, and French Polinesian markets; Location: Santiago de Chile. Maximize income and profits of routes from Australasia (e.g.: China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Thaiti) to South America. Define comercial strategies, tactic actions, sales and promotions, with the respective campaign launch. Manage codeshare with other companies from Australasia (e.g.: Qantas Airways, Korean Air Lines).
