Ochre was born out of my frustration with online shopping. I was working as a stylist and online shopping was driving me crazy. The endless hours of scrolling, dozens of tabs, lack of personalization - there had to be a better way. I imagined the average shopper who just wanted a new pair of jeans (or in Covid-times, sweatpants). Using my background in fashion, e-commerce and market research, I set out to change the way we shopped. As the CEO and founder of a bootstrapped company, I’m involved in all aspects of starting and growing the company. From hiring and managing a tech team to designing and executing the app and website - you name it, I do it. And if I don’t know how to do it, I figure it out. Ochre is currently on hiatus.
