    Empowered Careers (Acquired by Qualcomm) was a highly funded mobile education startup ($15M in funding from leading VCs Granite and Interwest). • Defined the vision and direction for industry’s first “mobile-only” social learning platform on an iPad for the consumer. • Drove strategic planning and tactical execution of the full product lifecycle with UCLA as a partner. • Designed, developed and launched an entire online college from scratch on an iPad app, including content development, app design and enabling social collaboration in a mobile environment. • Led strategic relationship with Apple, Amazon and other content partners to develop the end-end mobile experience. • Co-led design of the BI platform to uncover behavioral patterns with a goal of providing personalized content. • Helped grow the team from 15 to 70 people, including building and leading a team of product managers and UX designers, and developed an agile & “lean startup” culture • Hands-on creation of wireframes, story-boards, low and hi fidelity prototypes, and user research to enable rapid prototyping and product-market fit. • Responsible for Net Promoter Score of 70+ for all paying customers based on product usage.
