Sean is a co-founder of Volition Capital, a growth equity firm with ~$2 billion AUM, and focuses on investments in software-as-a-service (SaaS) and technology-enabled services businesses. His current board directorships and investments include Digital Onboarding, Black Kite, Millions, One Day, Creatio, Assent Compliance, TraceLink, GRAX, Automatiq, Hackajob, Cohora, and Zenarate. His past board directorships and investments include JazzHR (acquired by K1), Visual IQ (acquired by Nielsen), GlobalTranz (acquired by The Jordan Company), iPipeline (acquired by Thoma Bravo), G5 Search Marketing (acquired by Peak Equity), Ping Identity (PING), GeoLearning (acquired by SumTotal), Velocify (acquired by Ellie Mae) and EnterpriseDB (acquired by Peak Equity). Prior to co-founding Volition Capital in 2010, Sean was an investor at Fidelity Ventures. Sean entered the private equity industry in 2001 at Summit Partners, where he focused on growth equity investments in software businesses. Sean began his career at Arthur Andersen. Sean received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
