    I oversaw the private equity and venture capital division. Specifically, my role was to oversee the PE fund deal flow and pick the best opportunities for my clients and the fund. I spend most of my time fundraising from old and new clients. Since my inception in Icon Capital, I have personally raised $1.5M and have brought more than 20 investment opportunities in top tier private equity funds.

    Invariantes is the first venture capital fund in Guatemala providing access to investment vehicle in the region. -I was in charge of creating investment memo’s where I had to do a 360 research on the startup company that we were screening at the moment. The fund also used my input in providing key insights of the company along with my investment recommendation for the managing partners, to help them make a decision wether to invest or not on the startup company. -I spent most of my time shadowing the managing partners and attending startup pitches and demo days, where I learned what questions to ask and what a VC investor is looking for. As well as participating in the due diligence meetings of the fund. -During my time in Invariantes we reviewed more than 100 companies, met dozens of founders and incredible teams. -I managed and did the preliminary activity of the deal flow in order for the partners not overflow their schedule with pitches and meetings. -Bonus – Also successfully served coffee.

    Kredi.mx is a mortgage market place for LATAM that has had an exponential growth in the last year. I got into Kredi as an early investor and worker. - My partners and I manage to raise over $3.2M from top tier Venture Capitals like Amplo VC, Liquid 2 Ventures, Emles Ventures Partners, Harvard Management Company and Others. - Together we participated on Y Combinator(W21) in which we learned from the best in the industry and grew the business exponentially in a short amount of time. - I manage the image of the company and optimized our SEO to increase sales. - I created campaigns alongside the advertising agency to generate leads and create brand awareness.

    Republica is one of Guatemala’s leading digital newspapers in which my team and I were in charge of adding value to the reader by improving the platform’s UX (user experience). - We increased traffic through alliance with strategic partners (i.e. Buzqueros, a digital job marketplace included in the website as a widget granting access to the best job opportunities, and CABI who gives us accurate regional economic forecast and industry reports for us to share with the customers). - Increased number of subscribers by more than 15%
