I closely monitored a USD 1.2 billion portfolio of alternative investments, helping improve business processes, originating deals, carrying out financial due diligence, implementing financial reporting enhancements, post acquisition monitoring and achieving performance improvements within the investment portfolio and the Bank.

I joined as a Director in the Private Equity department and later promoted to Executive Director, with a range of front office investment end-to-end responsibilities for private equity, venture capital and real estate transactions.

1998 - 2007

I worked for 9 years in EY: 3 years in external audit, 3 years in the regional head office in a senior technical role and 3 years leading a specialist advisory group. I headed the Business Risk Services service line in Bahrain and managed a team that delivered due diligence, consulting, internal audit and business improvements assignments for demanding clients, on time and within tight deadlines. My main accomplishment in EY was to lead the team that created an intelligent audit application which was successfully used by EY Global around the world.
