I led the team that designed Uber Lite - a simpler, faster and conversational ride sharing app designed for global audience. Lite went live in 30 countries and attracted an additional 3 million new users to Uber. Most of this growth was organic, word-of-mouth and didn’t use marketing dollars. As Lite grew, I scaled the design learnings to the rest of Uber’s product team and kickstarted an internal playbook for designing inclusive products. My contributions - Cofounding the team, securing resourcing & driving the overall product vision, user-facing value props & UX design. - Managing a cross-site design team in Bangalore and San Francisco. - Driving alignment between product, design, research and engineering, marketing leadership from conception, during experimentation, till launch and refinements.

Some of the features I helped design were - - Driver Onboarding & Referrals UX - Driver Earnings & Payments including Cash - POI based navigation for drivers and riders - Requesting Rides for Friends and Family For each of these features I was responsible for setting the product vision, leading on-the-ground research and designing the end-to-end experience globally.
